Most CVs are read by software before a human sees them, and hundreds of applicants chase the same posting. The risk isn't just a longer search, it's being filtered out before anyone reads a word you wrote. The edge doesn't go to the most qualified, but to the best positioned: those who know what to call themselves, and where to look.

I didn't come to headhunting from the outside. I spent 20+ years in the field first, including eleven as a Principal Clinical Research Scientist at GSK and four as a Medical Director at a European CRO, before founding my own boutique search firm.
